Email providers

Providers are the SMTP services you connect to Sendit. You can use Gmail, Outlook, SES, SendGrid, Mailgun, or any custom SMTP server as long as you have valid credentials.

1. Add a provider

Go to Providers and click Add Provider. Choose a preset provider (Gmail, Outlook, SES, etc.) or use the Custom option to enter your own host and port.

  • Enter the display name for the provider.
  • Provide the SMTP username and password or app password.
  • Select encryption (TLS, SSL, or none) and the correct port.
Open Add Provider

2. Verify the provider

After saving a provider, you need to verify that Sendit can connect to it. This step checks credentials, connectivity and basic delivery capability.

Navigate to the Verify page. You will see all providers with their current verification status.

  • Click Verify for a single provider, or use Verify All for all pending providers.
  • Watch the status change from Pending to Checking and finally Verified or Failed.
  • If verification fails, use the error message to adjust credentials or network settings and retry.

3. Best practices

  • Use provider-specific app passwords instead of your normal login password whenever possible.
  • Keep separate providers for different use cases (transactional vs marketing) so you can monitor and switch easily.
  • If you change credentials on the provider side, update them in Sendit and re-verify.
